On Monday, August 26 in the Chapel of the Apostles, the School of Theology matriculated seminarians from all over the United States and the world. During the Holy Eucharist and Matriculation service students were admitted to the classes of 2025, 2026, and 2027 by Vice-Chancellor Dr. Robert Pearigen and Provost Dr. Scott Wilson. Students signed the Matriculation Book before being gowned.
Incoming students hail from twenty dioceses including the Episcopal Dioceses of Central Pennsylvania, New York, Washington, Virginia, Southern Virginia, Southwestern Virginia, West Virginia, Kansas, West Missouri, Nevada, San Diego, Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, East Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, East Tennessee as well as the Diocese of Colombo, Church of Ceylon in Sri Lanka.
New faculty, the Rev. Dr. Reed Carlson assistant professor of Old Testament/Hebrew Bible and the Rev. Britta Meiers Carlson visiting instructor in practical theology were also formally welcomed to the School of Theology.
