The Rev. Dr. Lauren F. Winner taught for many years at Duke Divinity School and has recently joined the faculty of Church Divinity School of the Pacific, where she teaches homiletics and pastoral theology. She is the author of numerous books, including a newly published volume of sermons, The Entangled Word. She serves as vicar of St. Joseph's Episcopal Church in Durham, North Carolina.
