Meet the Rev. Kevin M. Goodman, executive director of Education for Ministry, as he explains the variety of transformative small-group programs offered through the School of Theology in Sewanee, Tennessee, and how the programs connect experience with scripture, the Church, and concrete action.
Education for Ministry (EfM) forms faithful people ready to engage with the sacred. Through transformative small groups, we learn to trust others with our strengths and with our struggles, all while accompanying each other through the chances and changes of this life.
Individual study and group reflection are grounded in the program’s Core Practices—Living in Community, Regular Prayer and Worship, Theological Reflection, Study of the Christian Tradition, and Vocational Discernment.
