Ecce Quam Bonum

ANNUAL GIVING DAYS

The School of Theology typically participates in two giving days each year. Tiger Tuesday is Sewanee's annual day of giving and takes place each spring. Giving Tuesday, the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, is "a global generosity movement that unleashes the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and their world." This year, our Giving Tuesday focus was on raising money for seminary scholarships so that we might send our students into the world unencumbered by debt, free to live into their ministries, sharing the good news wherever God is calling them, not wherever they can afford to go because of student debt. Additionally, we asked those whose lives have been touched by Education for Ministry to help us reach our goal of raising $35,000 by June 30, 2021, for scholarships for those who wish to participate in Education for Ministry but do not have the means to do so. On Giving Tuesday 2020, $3,500 was raised from 40 alumni and friends for these two initiatives in online gifts alone. And the gifts are still rolling in. If you would like to support our efforts, it's not too late. Please follow the link below to make your gift.

Women's Lecture Series

An anonymous donor has agreed to a dollar-for-dollar match for all gifts up to $2,000 made to the Women's Lecture Fund in memory of the Rev. Melissa Kean, T'19, between now and Dec. 31. Double your impact and help the committee reach their goal of raising $20,000 to endow this fund. Follow the link and select "Other" and type in "Women's Lecture Fund."
