The School of Theology community returned to the newly renovated Hamilton Hall in Advent Term 2024,
THIS RENOVATION HAS HELPED US recognize more than ever the impact of this place and the value of residential theological education and spiritual formation in community. As We CLose the gap on the project funding, We need the support of our alumni and friends to build upon Sewanee's strong foundation and to help us create a legacy for generations of church leaders to come.
Hamilton Hall Study Carrels
The new, dedicated seminarian study space in Hamilton Hall has 45 beautiful wooden study carrels designed and crafted by Thos. Moser each with a chair featuring the St. Luke's shield engraved in the chair's back. This space provides students a quiet and comfortable place to read and write without having to leave Hamilton Hall. Each carrell and chair is $6,000 and will include a plaque recognizing the donor.
