The St. Luke's Lectures & Homecoming event will showcase the School of Theology's newly renovated Hamilton Hall. Join us for two days of reunion, learning, and rejuvenation. The St. Luke’s lecture series, to be given by Donyelle McCray associate professor of homiletics at Yale Divinity School is the cornerstone of a two-day long homecoming event, which also includes a semi-formal cocktail reception and banquet dinner, continuing education workshops, communal worship, guided hikes, and other organized activities.

About the Lectures
On Wednesday, Oct. 2 Dr. Donyelle McCray, associate professor of homiletics at Yale Divinity School, will deliver a three-lecture series centered on the life and work of Pauli Murray—path-breaking poet, activist, attorney, professor, and Episcopal priest whose legacy of human rights work continues to reverberate. The lecture series is free and open to the public. A Continuing Education Attestation will be available at the lectures for attendees interested in receiving continuing theological education hours.

Continuing Education Workshops
On the morning of Thursday, Oct. 3 the School of Theology will offer a choice of workshops for continuing education hours. Workshops will be offered in two time slots during the morning, making it possible for participants to select two different workshops from the following offerings:
- "A Cultural Historian Preaches Paul," presented by Paul Holloway, Ph.D., Professor of Classics and Ancient Christianity, University of the South
- "Exploring your Neighborhood with Data," presented by the Rev. Molly James, Ph.D., Deputy Executive Officer for General Convention
- "Postcards from the Edge: The Possibility and Challenge for Beloved Community through Church Planting,” " presented by the Rev. Katie Nakamura Rengers, Staff Officer for, Church Planting for The Episcopal Church
- “The Context of Queer: Preaching in an Anglican Sacramental Tradition,” presented by the Rev. Warren Thomas Swenson, T’18, T’20, associate director, SUMMA Theological Debate Society, Ph.D. Candidate in Practical and Contextual Theology, University of Chester, Chester, UK
Workshop attendance is free to those registered for the Homecoming Event, which includes a festive banquet and other organized activities. Those who do not wish to register for the Homecoming Event, may register for up to two workshops for a flat fee of $40. Advanced workshop registration is required.
