The Crucifix: Its History and Controversy through the Ages

The School of Theology community hosted a Zoom talk by Robin Margaret Jensen, the Patrick O'Brien Professor of Theology at the University of Notre Dame. This event is hosted by the Crucifix Committee, established in September 2020 to re-evaluate the Chapel of the Apostle’s crucifix and search for a more diverse representation. This lecture provided much context to the history of crucifixes and was one of the fruits of the committee’s work to date.
