Parks Gift Advances School's Move to Central Campus

Nancy Bostick Parks recently made a significant gift to the School of Theology relocation project in memory of her husband, the Rev. Dr. Robert Parks, T’49. Parks was a leading 20th-century figure in the life of The Episcopal Church, having served as rector of Trinity Wall Street Church from 1972 to 1987. His leadership established the Trinity Grants Program, which has improved the lives of people around the world. “Bob Parks was a giant in his time. He was a mentor to me and more than a generation of Episcopal clergy,” says Dean Alexander.

“As his wife and his biggest fan, I wanted to make this gift in memory of Bob,” says Mrs. Parks. “He did a lot for the Church and enjoyed his time at Sewanee, so I wanted to make sure his name was remembered there. He made an impact on the Church in many, many ways.
