Rev. Dr. Bill Brosend
The 2008 School of Theology Holy Land Pastoral Renewal Pilgrimage will be led by the Rev. Dr. Bill Brosend, who also serves as program director, and the Rev. Dr. Julia Gatta. Drs. Brosend and Gatta are Episcopal priests and members of the faculty at the School of Theology.
Dr. Brosend, a scholar of the New Testament and associate professor of homiletics, will offer lectures on the biblical backgrounds of the sites visited in the Holy Land. Drawing on his own years of pastoral experience and service as associate director of the Louisville Institute, Dr. Brosend will co-lead activities designed to foster pastoral and vocational renewal.
Dr. Gatta, associate professor of pastoral theology and chaplain during the pilgrimage, will plan and lead worship. Drawing on her years of parish experience, extensive writing, and teaching, Dr. Gatta will lecture on spiritual formation for ministry.
