Patton came to the School of Theology in 1997 as a member of the dean’s office staff as assistant to the director of operations. In 1998, she became administrative assistant to the dean, serving deans Lytle, Parrent, Gray, and Stafford in that role. With a background in accounting and many years of experience assisting in all aspects of the School’s operations, in March 2011 she was named director of operations for the School of Theology.  Shortly after her appointment the dean determined that students of the School of Theology might be better served if financial aid for seminarians were administered by School of Theology staff. Patton was best equipped and positioned to add those duties to her portfolio. This has allowed the dean to be more actively involved and informed in financial aid administration and fund management and has made financial aid services more easily accessible to current and prospective seminarians.
