Memorial Service for the Rev. Dr. Donald S. Armentrout

The Rev. Dr. Donald Smith Armentrout died Saturday, March 30, 2013. Noted scholar and author, Armentrout retired as professor of church history and historical theology, the Charles Quintard Professor of Dogmatic Theology, and director of the Advanced Degrees Program at the University of the South School of Theology on Dec. 31, 2008, after 42 years as a teacher and leader at the school.

The Liturgy of the Church in celebration of the Resurrection of Jesus and in memory of The Rev. Dr. Donald Smith Armentrout will take place on Wednesday, April 3, at 3:00 p.m., in All Saints’ Chapel. A reception will follow.

For if we have life, we are alive in the Lord,
and if we die, we die in the Lord.
So, then, whether we live or die, we are the Lord's possession.

May he rest in peace and rise in glory!
