Dean’s Forum Showcases Cross-Cultural Experiences
The Dean's Forum on Feb. 27, at 1 p.m., will feature a conversation with Whitney Burton, Katie Hargis, Cameron Nations, Fr. Emanuel Petro, and Michael Elliott. These five students will offer reflections on living on the border between their home culture and another as part of the School’s cross-cultural program. Each one has a story of how their experience impacts their ministry, the gospel, and the nature of the church, whether they have crossed over in life together with our brothers and sisters in Cuba and England, or from Tanzania and Jamaica to the strange land of American and Episcopal culture!
The School of Theology’s cross-cultural program helps students begin to reflect on their ministry in a post-Christendom era by seeing the world and their racial, religious, and social group. Information about opportunities to join in this kind of holy pilgrimage will be explained.
