The Very Rev. Dr. William S. Stafford became dean of The School of Theology on January 1, 2005, bringing significant experience in ministry, academics, and administration to his position.

We have a theologically diverse, academically excellent, and award-winning faculty holding doctorates from Chicago, Cornell, Durham, St. Andrews, St. Michael’s College Toronto, Vanderbilt, and Yale.
Contingent Faculty
The visiting professors that make up our contingent faculty bring a diverse range of skills to the School including Pastoral Spanish, Christian Education and Formation, Music, and United Methodist Studies.
Emeriti Faculty
From William Porcher DuBose to Christopher Bryan, our emeriti faculty have left their mark on the Church and shared their theology and scholarship with The School of Theology for more than 100 years.
