The Rev. Annwn Hawkins Myers

Born into an Episcopal family, Myers grew up in the parishes where her father served as priest. She spent most of the summers of at church camp. During the late 70's, she managed the Episcopal Bookstore in Jackson, Miss., served the diocese as chairperson for the division of youth, and, at the same time, earned a B.A. from Millsaps College. Her M.Div. was received from Virginia Theological Seminary in 1984, after which returned to Mississippi to serve at St. John's, Pascagoula, first as curate, then interim rector and, later, as associate rector. After her marriage in 1988, Myers moved back to Jackson where she served as interim rector of Chapel of the Cross in Madison and interim chaplain at St. Andrew's Episcopal Day School. In the fall of 1989, she and her husband moved to Sewanee, where she became the associate University chaplain. After 23 years, Myers accepted the position the first associate dean for recruitment and admissions at The School of Theology.
